Moel Famau Ride Pictures

After a wet start to the ride it turned into a dry humid evening later on, so thanks to the Chester and North Wales lads for coming along and making it into a very pleasant night. Not quite the full sunset view I had in mind but very nearly and a very nice pint was had by all after at The Loggerheads Inn. I'm sorry for missing out the lad on the GTS from the group picture at the top, I don't know what went wrong there !!

Tuesday Evening Rideout to Moel Famau

As the Wrexham ride has been cancelled and the weather forecast looks good for Tuesday night, I thought it might be nice to have a run up to Moel Famau top car park to take in the views of the Clwydian hills as the sun sets. I have mentioned it to Dave and he is up for it (well it's only up the road from his house), he also knows a good real ale pub nearby for some refreshments.

I suggest meeting at Clubbies at 7-45pm and leaving at 8pm, it's about 15 miles and if we go down through Saltney and up through Broughton to Padeswood and Mold, it should be a pleasant ride, fill your tanks up then we don't have to make petrol stops. If any local clubs fancy joining us for the ride please come along.

The pub is situated on Countess Way, Bache, Upton, which is the road between Morrisons roundabout and the Blacon roundabout (map above).

WREXHAM RIDEOUT

for those that didnt do the wrexham rideout you missed a cracker the weather was brill i never thought there was a god after rideing back from jesters the other week in all that rain but thay must be, chester scooter club was 10 or 12 strong and with cloud9 and simmo and the liverpool boys we must have left clubbies 50 + strong what a site it was along the old wrexham road to the walnut for 12 oclock enough time to have a beer and a catch up with old freinds and a look at all the bling stalls then off at 1 oclock for the ride out to the horseshoe pass with the weather being so kind most just in polo shirts, shorts or jeans on arriving at the horseshoe car park there were that many bikes up there we struggled to park up be we wernt going to be beat by some power rangers, or greasers Ha Ha we had a good look round the bikes there was some stunners there but not as nice as some of the scoots that thay were lookin at then it was noticed that tomo wasnt there so myself, george, perry, and our adopded son elvis whent looking for him when we got back to the walnut with no sign of him he rang to say he and the scoot were ok and on the way back down to the pub so a few more beers were sunk then off everyone went a good day had by all (apart from someone who came off there scoot on the way down to llangollen)hope there ok..... so a big thanks goes to davis and all of the wrexham scooter club for putting on a spot on day well done but ur going to have to see if you can book the weather for next year as well, someone counted the scooters when as thay left the carparks for the rideout and there were 350 what a turn out and hopefully even more next year ............. ps ride safe.......
