Chester Scooter Club Egg Run 2017

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Egg Run on Sunday. The turnout was the best anyone can remember, with over 200 scooters and hundreds of Easter Eggs donated for the children at the Countess hospital. Special thanks to Tracey and Pat (landlady of The Grosvenor Arms) for the organisation and food/drinks. all the scooter clubs and riders, everyone who donated eggs and Kev Jones (DJ at Broughton Wings Soul Club) for his donation.

Our Christmas Toy Run Next Sunday 18th December

Just a reminder that it's our Toy Run next Sunday ,18th . Meet at Clubbies from 11.30 on. Make sure to bring a wrapped toy ,marked up Boy/Girl and age group.

Mersey Bowl Rideout,27th December

Simo has been in touch to inform us that Liverpool Scooter Club "the lost boys " are organising a meet up at the Ferry at Eastham on Tuesday ,27th December..This annual event,depending on weather usually attracts a good turnout The meet up time is 1pmat the ferry so leave Clubbies at 12.15 .The ride, for those that want to ,will continue up the Wirral to Cloud 9's pub for food .

Soul Night @ Wings Club, 17th December

The next Soul Night is on at Broughton Wings Club on Saturday night December 17th .It's pay on the door ,usually a fiver or less.Several members have said they are going and as it is the night before the Chester Scooter Club toy run it will serve well as a club night out. The.DJ has said he will be playing more "mainstream " soul this time,so something for everyone and cheap drinks too !

"social" rally next year,2017.It's the usual arrangements with Steam Packet Co and hotels ,but there is no organisation by Barry and Debbie,no night do's etc. The full list of hotels and charges are available on Facebook under "Isle of Man Scooter Rally" .I cant seem to print off Facebook so any one wanting the list will have to go on themselves.Our usual,convenient guest house ,Kings Guest house,is on at £104 per person (two sharingroom) and £52 per scooter,but be quick if you want to go as this is about the cheapest and will go quickly.Ring the Steam Packet co to book on 01624 645777.

Simo has been in touch to let me know he is planning a ride into Chester on Sunday 30th October to arrive at the Groves about 1pm. So for anyone not on the Canary Islands,not in Bridlington,not on Ernies Bala ride,then here's an alternative ! Weather permitting

A few of us are heading to Rhyl tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 17th Sep). Meet at the Halfway House pub (Connah's Quay) at 11 or at the Halfway House pub (Holywell) at 11:30.

Frodsham Ride this Thursday

Liverpool Scooter Club are riding over to our side of the Mersey this coming Thursday evening,15th September and they have invited us to meet up with them at the Bears Paw pub ,Frodsham ,at about 8pm .Simo says food will be provided,and donations will be gratefully recieved.
 Any one wishing to go should meet at Clubbies at about 6.45pm to leave at 7pm ish.

This is the first official rideout for Wrexham based Queens Park Sooter Club .They are meeting at The Turf pub Mold Rd Wrexham between 11 am and 12 .Rideout leaves at 12 to go out via Ruabon and Bangor on Dee to end back in Wrexham at the Kings Mills guest house .Music,BBQ food etc raffles. Would suggest meet at Clubbies 10.45 ,leave @ 11am .

As discused at Tuesdays club meeting a ride out will take place on Thursdays during the summer months ,depending on the weather forecast.Starting point will vary depending on convenient meet up point for the ride . Meet at Clubbies at 11am for this weeks ride into Shropshire.

Scooter Club Visit,this Tuesday,26th April.

Wirral (too much too old + cloud 9) and some Liverpool scooter club members are hoping to pay us a visit on our regular meeting night .Pat will put food on .Depending on the weather,depends how many attend.It would be good if our members came on scooters and a bit earlier if poss.The visitors are expected around 8pm. It's this Tuesday,26th April.

Lost Mags

Does anyone know the whereabouts of a box of scooter magazines from the 1960's ? I was lending them out over the last couple of years to various club members, 30 odd mags with early 60's dates in a brown cardboard box, but have lost track of them !I think I have asked all the members that I can remember having had them ,plus a few more . NWBA EGG RUN this Friday

Three dodgy looking characters on the Egg Run to Glan Clwyd Hospital!

The North Wales and Borders Alliance have got their Easter Egg Run to Glan Clwyd Hospital this Friday,25th March .They are meeting at Macdonald's Flint from 12.15 ,leaving at 12.45 prompt, to ride to the Whisle Stop Cafe at Rhuddlan  before going on to the childrens ward at the hospital. Bring an Egg !

A North Wales Alliance ride out next Sunday 28th Feb .Meet at Macdonalds,Flint from 11 am to leave at 11.30 for a ride to the Whistlestop Cafe at Rhuddlan.Unknown leaving time for ride to Llandudno and the Orme .This was the St David's day ride in the past.

We are holding our annual Christmas Toy Run on Sunday ,December 20th ,this year. As usual meet at The Grosvenor Arms ,Handbridge ,Chester. Bring a toy clearly marked BOY or GIRL and age group to help staff distribute them .Meet 11.30 on,departure 12.45 to arrive at the childrens ward,Countess of Chester Hospital at 1pm .Our landlady,Pat,is laying on Bacon Butties ,Tea and Coffee,at £1 each before departure and a free buffet for those who return to the pub after leaving the hospital .Our thanks to Pat . Other scooter clubs and solo riders are welcome

Christmas Toy Run

The annual rideout to the animal rescue center at Trelogan, Flintshire ,is taking place this weekend on Sunday 18th.Meet up is at Flintshire Scooter Club,Sealand (behind Leprechaun pub) to leave at 1pm .Donations of cat and dog food or just plain old cash will be appreciated by this good cause.
