10 scooters left Clubbies around 10-45 with the weather cloudy and breezy with no sign of the previous evening heavy rain. It was nice to see some new faces joining us with John from the Northern Aces, Dave Pritchard from the Port and the young Greg Littler on a 50cc twist and go which was easily keeping up with the Lammies and Vespas.
We stopped at The Raven cafe just the other side of Whitchurch for a brew and bacon butty and even had some of the bikers coming over to have a look at the scoots. As we arrived at The Red Barn pub in Shewsbury the sun was out, the northern soul was playing and the real ale in the pub was spot on. A big thanks to The Severnside Lions S.C. for putting on a really good event, with burger bars, ice cream vans and even a mini rideout around Shewsbury town centre.
Just to cap the fantastic day out Dave Baker won best Lambretta for his TV 175, John from the Northern Aces on his Vespa GTS won furthest travelled prize and Andy Swarbrick won a bottle of wine in the raffle. A nice ride back through Ellesmere and Overton capped off a really good day. This is one rideout I would highly recommend for next year.

Sevenside Lions Scooter Club Family Fun Day
Dave recieved this flyer from The Sevenside Scooter Club from Shewsbury who are holding a Family Fun Day on Sunday 12th July. If there is enough interest we will organise a ride-out to the event from Clubbies, keep watching the website for arrangements.
----EDIT----
I've spoken to Dave and he's up for a ride to Shewsbury and so is Wilf, so that's 3 so far with me.
What we decided was to meet at Clubbies this Sunday the 12th at 10-15 leaving at 10-30, it's about 40 miles to the pub venue, so it will probably take about an hour and a half allowing for a break on route. So if your free and fancy trying a new ride-out for a change, please try and make it on Sunday.
P.S. Don't forget it's also the Frith Beach Scooter Weekender this weekend, if anyone wants to take a run over there instead, further information from Barry Turner on 0151-356-8384.
EDIT No.2
As the weather looks to be wet but clearing for Sunday, you can give me or Dave a ring on Sunday morning to make sure it's still on - Graham - 07799002680 - Dave - 07773669330. But I think we will be OK after checking the weather report.
