Charity Event at The Sycamore Garden Centre - Sat 28th November

Hi everyone, I've had a message from Phil Blaylock from Liverpool Scooter Club about an event this Saturday at the Sycamore Garden Centre on the A41 at Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port, if anyone fancies an early ride out (providing the rain Gods keep away).

We have been approached by Keith Robertshaw from the Sycamore Park garden centre on the A41, near the A5117 at Backford Cross in Cheshire. Keith has invited us to arrange a scooter rally for up to 50 scooters at his garden centre. This will tie in with the Christmas event which he is hosting at the garden centre. Keith would like us to attend the garden centre at 9.30 on Saturday the 28th of November. We will then follow the Father Christmas float, leaving the garden centre at approximately 10.15. The route will take us from the garden centre to Ellesmere Port, and then back to the garden centre. This is a journey of about 6 miles, and we should arrive back at the garden centre at approximately 11am. We will then display the scooters until 3pm, during which time we will be allowed to collect money in buckets for a charity of our choice. If we are not able to attract sufficient members/scooters for this date, the invitation is extended to us for any week-end in December. If you would like to take part, can you please e-mail Ernie Lundstrom (address on home page), or ring him on 07877-909478. As this event is in Cheshire, we will be inviting our friends from Birkenhead Cloud 9 to join us, and also some of our scooter friends from Ellesmere Port and Chester depending on numbers. Keith has put a great deal of hard work into organising his Christmas festivities at the garden centre, and will be arranging all the P.R in conjunction with the local press.

It would be great if some of you could join us.

Cheers Phil.

Phil, what happened, first chance I get to show off the scoot and there's no one there. Did I miss everyone or did no one bother to turn up, hope this is not a sign of things to come
