Or better known to us as "the Tap rideout "! will take place on the day after Boxing Day,Sunday 27th December..  Meet at Clubbies at 12noon,to leave @12.30.prompt .We aim to arrive at the Tap ,Eastham @ 1pm .Ride then goes on to the Red Cat at Greasby for food.All weather dependant as usual

Broughton Wings Soul Club Dates for 2016

Here are the dates for 2016, these are all Saturday nights. Great nights, cheap to get in and good parking close to the social club.

Our Toy Run,This Sunday

We are holding our annual Christmas Toy Run on Sunday ,December 20th ,this year. As usual meet at The Grosvenor Arms ,Handbridge ,Chester. Bring a toy clearly marked BOY or GIRL and age group to help staff distribute them .Meet 11.30 on,departure 12.45 to arrive at the childrens ward,Countess of Chester Hospital at 1pm .Our landlady,Pat,is laying on Bacon Butties ,Tea and Coffee,at £1 each before departure and a free buffet for those who return to the pub after leaving the hospital .Our thanks to Pat . Other scooter clubs and solo riders are welcome

Christmas Toy Run

Roobarb and Custard rideout Sunday 18th .

The annual rideout to the animal rescue center at Trelogan, Flintshire ,is taking place this weekend on Sunday 18th.Meet up is at Flintshire Scooter Club,Sealand (behind Leprechaun pub) to leave at 1pm .Donations of cat and dog food or just plain old cash will be appreciated by this good cause.

Dabbers SC Smell the 2 Stroke - Sun 6th Sep

Dabbers Scooter Club Smell the 2 Stroke is on this Sunday (6th September).

They are meeting at Broxton and departing at 12:30 to ride to the Railway Hotel in Nantwich.

Meet at Clubbies at 11:15 for a departure of 11:30 to Broxton.

For those who travelled back from the Isle of Wight on Monday, the weather forecast indicates you won't need the snorkels and flippers for this trip!

Northwich Festival Rideout - Sunday 30th August

For all those who are not going to the Isle of Wight this weekend, there is a rideout to the Northwich Festival this Sunday 30th. Arrangements are meet at Clubbies 10-45am, leave by 11am to ride to the meet up venue which is the Bears Paw pub in Frodsham. Leaving there at 12 noon where Northwich Omega SC will lead us through Kingsley and Weaverham to the festival.

Soul Night at Broughton ,Saturday August 15th .

For anyone interested in going to this ,I would suggest meet up outside the Wings club at 8.30 pm on Saturday ,prompt .If it is oversubscribed, like last time, we won't end up with half the members in and the rest stuck outside ! If we can't get in, the pubs in Hawarden or Chester are not far as an alternative "plan B" .

Ellesmere Port Scooter Club Open Day - Sun 5th July

Meet at Clubbies at 11:15, for a 11:30ish departure to The Old Wirral Hundred on the A41.

Ride out leaves from there at 12:30 to The Bulls Head.

 

Ride out SATURDAY 27th June -our own !

Due to a bad weather forecast for Sunday and a weekend with no local scooter events,it has been decided to have a club rideout on Saturday ,June 27th . The route will take in parts of Shropshire,Ellesmere Lake,across the border into Wales to Lake Vyrnwy,over the pass through the forest to Bala and back to Chester via Llandegla moors .Total distance appx 100 miles + .Fuel is available at Ellesmere ,Oswestry and Bala. If we have no breakdowns should be in Chester for 4pm latest  .Meet at Clubbies 10am to leave 10.15 prompt .

Welshpool Airshow Sunday 14th June

Anybody fancy this for a day out / ride out, thought it might be something different and not too far to ride. Price is £8.00 to get in and £5.00 for scooter/motorcycle parking at the airfield. Dave are you interested or anyone else who is into aircraft etc.

P.S. I have made my decision that I am definitely going and I have rung up to book my tickets,(they will send them out in the post to you). IMPORTANT - If you want to go by scooter and park at the airfield, you have to pre - book your £5.00 parking ticket. Tel 01938 552043.

Note :- Due to the variable weather situation and the high ground surrounding the airfield it may be advisable to send for a parking ticket only and pay on the gate when you arrive.If the show is cancelled due to weather there are no refunds at all .As Graham says above it is possible to pre book parking only,just allow enough time for the tickets to arrive by post .
