On good Friday,my nine year old son had to stay in the Children's ward at Glan Clwyd, for observation, following a bang on the head. When I returned from home having collected his ipad and clothes (ipad obviously being the most important for a 9 year old!) I noticed dozens of scooters and riders outside one of the hospital entrances. Having been a big fan of scooters/mod/ska era I admired some of the amazing scooters but at the same time, wondered why they would all be congregating outside ysbyty Glan Clwyd on a Friday afternoon!

When I found out from one of the nurses that you were all there to hand out easter eggs (bags full I might add) to the poorly children staying in the children's ward over the easter holidays, I was so moved I almost wept! I think it's a fantastic thing that you do and although my own son, thankfully was discharged after about 12 hours fully recovered, he was delighted to choose his easter egg on the way out of the ward! Well done you for being so selfless, thoughful and giving up your time over the bank holiday to put a smile on children's (and parents) faces! I notice there weren't any press there, and I truely think, that despite the fact that you are clearly all doing it for the children, your kind generosity should be recognised within our communities and the positive press would also help to dispel any remaining negative stereotypes some individuals may have of biker/scooter groups - just my thoughts - only wanted to say thank you and show my appreciation really!
